So crazy…Lidia (Oh So Posh Photography)and I have been talking about this workshop for months now, and to finally have it set in stone and planned feels amazing. *a-maz-ing*

When I first saw Lidia’s work on Flickr over two years ago, I immediately fell in love and felt a connection through our love of color and backlighting. We connected through her Tiny Sparrow Foundation a while back and have since become friends and comrades in this crazy awesome photography world.

There are a couple focuses of this weekend workshop:

Natural light photography taught by someone who not only knows their stuff in a major way when it comes to golden hour images, but also when it comes to interacting with children in a way that truly captures their little personalities. Her styling, composition, use of color and post processing have drawn thousands to her work, and all of those elements will be taught at this class!

The second part of the workshop will be focusing on newborn photography, taught by yours truly! I’ll be combining my experience with newborns, styling, interaction with parents, posing and post processing into this workshop! We’ll be putting heavy emphasis on safety as well.

The third part of the workshop will be focusing on standing out in the booming field of photography…hence the name “Rise and Shine”. We want to spread the word that this business is NOT about competition with other photographers, but working on *your* craft and *your* style and standing out by letting your images shine. Both Lidia and I are all for helping other photographers really enjoy what they do and succeed.

The Details:

How many spots? 6 per class

When and Where?  Jacksonville/St. Augustine, Florida workshop will be held June 8th and 9th

How much? $1800 total tuition. Includes both days of workshop, Oh So Posh’s action packs and Rachel’s newborn posing guide. A $500 deposit is due to hold your spot (via PayPal). Another $500 is due April 1st, and the remainder is due one month prior to workshop. The deposit is only refundable once your spot is filled if you cancel. If you want to pay early, that’s gravy. 🙂

First Day:

8:30 AM – Meet & Greet

9:00-11 AM – first newborn

11 AM – lunch

12-2 PM – second newborn

2-4 PM – newborn post processing

4PM-sunset – Outdoor session with child model and *possible* newborn

Second Day:

8:30 AM – arrival

9:00-11 AM – newborn

11-12 PM – lunch

12-4 PM – business chat/skype guest speaker/processing with Lydia.

4PM – sunset – Outdoor session with child model
